It’s Wednesday and you know what that means: right, I write a little piece for you!
I have not been feeling all too well for the past five or six days. My depression has been trying to eat me again and my anxiety kicked back in, causing a huge panic attack the day before yesterday.
I still do not feel 100% okay but it’s getting there. More like an 88% okay.
Around 12:00 I have my weekly yoga class and I am really looking forward to it. Yoga always brings my mind a little bit of peace so hopefully it will take away a little bit of my depressed feeling and anxiety.
Usually, I include the Daily post one-word prompt in my post and write something about the word. The word they had in store this time was Tentative and I am not sure what it means or what to do with it. It is not really a word that I use or hear on a daily basis.
So, I turned to google translate and it was translated to something like careful, cautious or careful.
Those definitions did not bring a lot of inspiration to my fingers typing on this keyboard so I just typed in ”tentative” in google and it just gave me loads of sites which gave me the meaning or definition of the word. Not helpful either, ey?
Let me just get back to my yoga classes. Since I really like yoga and I always try to get others to do yoga too (to my friends’ annoyance he he).
For me, yoga brings relaxation, peace and calmness. To me, that short hour every Wednesday is just a way of bringing the focus back to earth instead of all in my head. In that hour we do all kinds of yoga poses and since I am not the most flexible, leanest, strongest young woman in the world, it takes a lot of strength for me. And that is what makes it so relaxing to me. It brings the focus back on me and my body and makes me feel physical sensations instead of mental feelings. This is what helps me ground myself again and helps me relax a little bit.
My yoga teacher is a really kind woman who makes me feel at easy in her presence. She brings a sense of calmness with her into the room.
She also said to us: Yoga is kind of ‘booming’ these days, it is gaining a lot of popularity. This is good, nothing wrong with it. The only thing is that since it is so popular, there are a lot of different teachers. And I want to warn you: if following yoga classes with a particular teacher does not feel good to you then go to the next one because not feeling at ease with your yoga instructor is not benefiting to you at all.
She did not mean this as something bad or anything, she just wanted to warn us and teach us to really listen yo your gut-feelings. Which is a thing I really like about her. She never forces us to do anything.
